How to apply for a visa at the French Consulate General in Brussels
►You must be resident in the Benelux (your residency permit must have been issued more than 3 months before your application date)
►You must hold a valid and recognized passport /travel document (your passport / travel document must have been issued within the last 10 years and have at least 12 months validity left).
►You cannot submit your application more than 3 months before your planned date of departure. We suggest that you allow at least 15 days for visa processing.
Complete the forms online according to your situation (see application forms) and double check that your file includes all the documents.
Book an appointment on our website (only). Appointments are compulsory and cannot be made by phone or at the Consulate General’s reception desk.
You must apply in person, except children under the age of 12.
Due to the introduction of biometric visas, your fingerprints and picture will be registered.
Visa application fees must be paid during the application, and are non-refundable (link fees)

It may vary according to the type of visa and the applicant’s nationality. Please note that the visa section does not keep your passport.
